If you like someone, and you’re not hurting anyone, should someone be able to tell you that you’re wrong?
There’s a famous thought experiment that says it’s better to believe in God than not believe, because if you believe and are wrong you don’t lose anything, but if you don’t believe and you are wrong, the consequences could be terrible. Can you see a problem with this kind of thinking?
Is it just as likely that your friend’s favorite God exists as it is that Zeus exists?
